Jeff Anderson named to Leadership Council of the National Small Business Association

Jeff Anderson Headshot

ATEK Distribution’s President, Jeff Anderson, was just named to the Leadership Council of the National Small Business Association (NSBA)! You can read about it here in this Press Release.

Jeff is a recognized leader in the small business community, and he’s looking forward to bringing his message to the people who need to hear it most: Congress.

And his message is small business advocacy, as he plans to take up issues such as tax reform, regulatory restraint, and access to capital for small businesses, especially those that embrace green technology.

ATEK is already doing the right thing by bringing green solutions in the form of supplying electrical, EV charging, and solar products. Responsibility to the environment has fallen on the private sector, and Jeff is leading that charge in more ways than one.

Empowering Growth Through Service

How Veteran Leadership and NVBDC Certification Propelled ATEK Distribution

Jeff Anderson, President and Co-Founder of ATEK Distribution, is more than a business owner—he’s a veteran, mentor, and advocate for the next generation of leaders. With a foundation rooted in honor, service, and entrepreneurial grit, Jeff has grown ATEK Distribution from the ground up into a nationally recognized, NVBDC-certified, veteran-owned enterprise serving the electrical supply industry.

Mission-Driven Beginnings

After a distinguished career in the United States Marine Corps—serving in the Gulf War and Somalia—Jeff transitioned from military service to the private sector with a mission to bring high-integrity solutions to the electrical supply market. As a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) certified through both the NVBDC and the State of Minnesota, Jeff leads a company that specializes in the wholesale distribution of electrical construction materials, EV charging stations, LED lighting, and more.

Under his leadership, ATEK Distribution has built a reputation for reliability and responsiveness in an industry where those qualities are often in short supply. The company’s guiding principle is simple: deliver the right electrical solution at the right time, every time.

The NVBDC Advantage

Jeff credits the National Veteran Business Development Council (NVBDC) as a key driver of ATEK’s growth and ability to compete in a national market. “The NVBDC has helped my company by providing a nationally recognized certification that opens doors to new business opportunities,” he says.

Through this certification, ATEK Distribution has gained access to large corporations, expanded its network, and grown its business with decision-makers that might otherwise have been out of reach. Jeff’s experience is a shining example of how supplier diversity programs, when implemented with integrity, can create real opportunities for veteran entrepreneurs.

Investing in Future Leaders: The JROTC Scholarship Program

Beyond his business success, Jeff’s dedication to service continues through his involvement with the NVBDC 50 State JROTC Scholarship Program. As the Alaska State JROTC Manager, he supports and mentors young cadets, helping to shape the next generation of disciplined, service-minded leaders.

His journey—spanning military service, business development, and youth mentorship—reflects the very best of NVBDC’s values: leadership, excellence, and commitment to legacy.

A Lasting Impact

Jeff Anderson’s work through ATEK Distribution and the NVBDC JROTC initiative showcases how veteran-owned businesses can drive economic growth while giving back. His story is more than inspiring—it’s a roadmap for what’s possible when purpose, leadership, and opportunity align.
